Counting House Annual Cover

Our cover policy provides reliable backup and support for new and existing customers.

We provide assistance by telephone (and on site by separate agreement) via our Cover Policy. The benefits of Counting House Cover are:

  • Assistance with installation, getting your software up and running as soon as possible
  • Resolving the difficulties of use/understanding of Software products, and assistance with specific operations
  • Rectification of failures of applications software

Our help desk is open during the working week and we will respond to telephone and e-mail enquiries. It is our objective to give our customers the best service possible and to ensure they obtain maximum benefits from the use of their software.

On-site support and hardware support

On-site support can be supplied with all POS installations. Our on-site support package provides for attendance at your premises of either Counting House Software personnel or our appointed subcontractor. Please enquire for further details.

Installation Services

Support by telephone is sufficient for many users for most of our software products, We can however provide an on-site installation service where this is required.

Here is the complete installation service that we supply with POS systems when requested by the customer: 

    Positive retail - installation and support services

    1. Consultation
      We will find the best installation, commissioning and training processes for you by direct consultation.
    2. Pre-delivery set-up and tests
      If you are purchasing hardware as part of your package this will be tested and preloaded with the software you have purchased at our offices prior to delivery.
    3. Delivery, installation and commissioning
      This will be undertaken at a time convenient to you and will result in a complete working system ready for your use. In some circumstances, we provide our customers with an optional initial installation to enable item #4 to be undertaken before an existing system is de-commissioned.
    4. Entry of set up data
      Positive Retail obtains most of its data from Sage Line 50. There may be a significant amount of data such as stock records to be entered prior to the full commissioning of the new system. Most of our users prefer to undertake this data entry themselves and in this case we train our users how best to accomplish this.
    5. Main training for supervisor and operators
      We pay special attention to supervisor and operator training so that on the first day of use operators are confident about using the system. This can take place at the time of the initial installation or immediately prior to full deployment of the system.
    6. Launch day support
      At your invitation we will attend your premises for the initial use of the system so that we are on-hand during this crucial period. This is not usually necessary as the program is user friendly and intuitive to use and the operator training is designed to ensure that there are no mistakes. However it is a service that we offer for the added confidence of our users. 
    7. Standard Annual support
      Telephone support is free of charge for the first 30 days of use. After this initial period we supply on-going telephone support at our usual rates and our lines are open throughout the working week. It is highly recommended that all our users take up this option as a minimum cover that also provides free software upgrades.

Training

On-site training can be supplied for all our products. This is usually coupled with the installation but can be ordered separately and at any time if required.
